A need is a named service that a room can evaluate: Food, Washroom, Mail, Car parking, Subway, Front desk or Garbage. Provider rooms advertise a service; other rooms search for an eligible provider through the tower’s route and service system.
Certain rooms require access to specific facilities and services. These may include access to: Food, Washroom, Mail, Car parking, Subway, Front desk or Garbage disposal. Tenants in these rooms will periodically try to fulfill these needs, and the room's evaluation is based on whether these needs are fulfilled in a timely manner.

Hard and scored needs
Most needs are floating, and tenants are free to pick any available room to satisfy needs such as washroom access and food. However, there are certain needs that are tied to specific rooms. For instance, offices get mail from specific mail rooms (usually the physically closest one). Hotel rooms are also tied to a specific hotel front desk (if there are multiple). Rooms that are linked will appear highlighted in orange when queried.
A hard association makes the room unavailable when no eligible provider can be reached. A scored association contributes to Room evaluation instead. Some services are scheduled: they are attempted in a time window, may retry before a deadline, and can be weekday-only. Results eventually become stale.

Practical play: put providers where people can reach them through usable routes, not merely near them on the map. Recheck paths after transport changes or power outages.
