Paternoster is a transport system in 2D Tower. Continuous-loop lift with limited capacity. Requires 2 cars plus 2 additional cars per floor.
The paternoster is a continuous loop of passenger cars that can span up to 15 floors. Its continuous nature allows passengers to move up and down at the same time. Due to the limited capacity of the cars, its throughput will be lower than that of elevators.

A Paternoster is a continuously moving passenger transport. Its cars serve every floor in the shaft regardless of service-floor toggles, and its power use includes idle, loading, moving, and active-passenger components.

== Strategy ==
Use a Paternoster where continuous all-floor access is more valuable than selective express service. It is a poor fit for a route that needs skipped floors, but its always-moving cars can complement elevators on a busy, compact vertical corridor.
Use a Paternoster fits well in areas that have little traffic but still need elevator transport access. Carts and bins used by workers can also be used on a Paternoster.

The paternoster is a continuous loop of passenger cars that can span up to 15 floors. Its continuous nature allows passengers to move up and down at the same time. Due to the limited capacity of the cars, its throughput will be lower than that of elevators.

Workers pushing carts can use a paternoster.

Strategy

Use a Paternoster fits well in areas that have little traffic but still need elevator transport access. Carts and bins used by workers can also be used on a Paternoster.
