The paternoster is a continuous loop of passenger cars that can span up to 15 floors. Its continuous nature allows passengers to move up and down at the same time. Due to the limited capacity of the cars, its throughput will be lower than that of elevators.
Workers pushing carts can use a paternoster.
Strategy
Use a Paternoster fits well in areas that have little traffic but still need elevator transport access. Carts and bins used by workers can also be used on a Paternoster.
