A Garbage Chute Room lets people deposit garbage near their floor rather than carry it all the way to a dock. Each room holds up to five units and transfers them through its adjacent Garbage Chute.
Placement
Build the room immediately to the left of a Garbage Chute, touching the shaft along the room's right side. People still need a usable route to the room. The shaft must connect at its bottom to a constructed Garbage Room, Garbage Dock or Loading Dock.
Full rooms and blocked connections
A connected room transfers garbage automatically when the destination has available capacity. If the receiver is full or cannot currently accept deposits, the chute room retains its garbage. At five units it is full and cannot accept more until garbage transfers out.
Connected to garbage destination confirms the link, not free capacity. If the room fills, inspect the destination and its collection arrangements. No connection means the shaft or receiving-room connection needs attention.
Chutes do not replace disposal trucks or workers collecting from a Garbage Room; they shorten the route to the receiving facility.
