A Garbage Chute transfers garbage from adjacent Garbage Chute Rooms down to a Garbage Room, Garbage Dock or Loading Dock. The shaft itself does not accept visits or store garbage.
See the conceptual placement example for adjacency and outlet checks.
Placement and operation
Place the receiving room directly beneath the shaft's bottom outlet. Both tiles of the outlet must enter the same constructed receiving room. Place chute rooms immediately to the shaft's left on floors where people need to deposit garbage.
Garbage transfers automatically when the destination can accept it. A full or temporarily unavailable receiver blocks transfer, so garbage accumulates in the chute rooms until capacity returns. The query can show a valid connection even when the receiver is full.
A chute transports garbage within the tower; the receiving room and docks still need normal collection and disposal. Keep the destination operational and accessible. Construction totals may also include floor work shown in the build preview.
